AquaCats disarm Butler Torpedoes
The Harrisonville AquaCats opened their South Suburban League 2009 season with a convicing victory over the Butler Torpedoes on Saturday, June 13. The AquaCats swept all the relay events earning 95 out of a possible 100 points in route to a 440-51 team victory in the event. The only relay the AquaCats did not win was the 8 and under boys 100 meter Medley Relay and neither team had an entry in that event.
The AquaCats picked up 45 out of a possible 50 first place ribbons and swept the top three places in 26 out of the 50 individual events.
Harrisonville returns to the water on Saturday, June 20, 2009 as they square off against the Golden Valley Dolphins.

AquaCats dominate Dolphins
The Harrisonville AquaCats continued their domination of South Suburban Swim League opponents as they easily handled the Golden Valley Dolphins on June 20,
The AquaCats racked up another impressive victory, outscoring the Dolphins 422-85. Harrisonville won 16 of the 20 relay events, racking up 80 out of a possible 100 points in the relays. The AquaCats were equally impressive in the individual events, posting top three sweeps in 17 events and posting either first and second or first and third in 20 other events.
The AquaCats host the Paola Piranhas on June 27 at the Harrisonville Aquatic Center, before taking a break for the July 4th Holiday.

The Harrsionville AquaCats proved too much for the Paola Piranhas at the Harrisonville Aquatic Center on Saturday, June 27. The AquaCats racked up an 85-10 advantage in the relays, scoring 40 out of 50 points in the Medley Relay and and 45 out of 50 points in the the Freestyle Relay in route to a 375-157 team victory.
The AquaCats took full advantage of the Piranhas lack of depth in the younger age groups, as they outscored Paola by over 150 points in the 8 & Under, 9-10 and 11-12 boys and girls age groups.
In the Freestyle, the AquaCats swept the top three places in the girls 8 & Under, Boys 9-10, and Boys 11-12 year old divisions, the 8 & Under boys took the top two spots in their age group.
The 11-12 boys took the top three spots in the butterfly, and the 9-10 boys and girls took first and third. The 8 & under girls and boys took the top two spots in their age groups.
The 8 & Under girls swept all six spots in the 25 meter Breaststroke, and the 9-10 year old boys swept the top three spots in the 50 meter event. The 8 & Under boys and the 9-10 girls took the top two spots in the breaststroke.
In the backstroke, the 8 & Under girls also swept all six places in the 25 meter event. The 9-10 girls and boys took first and second in the 50 meter backstroke, as did the 11-12 boys. The 8 & Under boys and 11-12 girls finished first and third in their event.
The Individual Medley saw the 8 & Under boys and 9-10 girls swept the top three spots in their age divisions, while the 11-12 year old boys and girls took first and second in their division. The 9-10 year old boys took first and third in the 100 meter IM.
The AquaCats, and the rest of the South Suburban League are off Saturday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day, and will return to the water on Saturday, July 11 against the Woodson Sharks.
