Crotts runs well at state meet
The Louisburg Wildcat Boys Cross Country team sent a lone representative to the Kansas Class 4A State Cross Country Championship in Wamego on Halloween day 2009. Nic Crotts turned in a time of 18:24.27 which was good enough to place 61st in the event. Crotts, only a sophomore, gives the Wildcat an experienced base to build their program around.
Wildcats fall to Bishop Miege 35-7
The Louisburg Wildcats ran into a buzz saw named the Bishop Miege Stags on Friday night, dropping out of the Kansas Class 4A State Football Playoffs by a 35-7 score at Louisburg. The Stags may be the best team in the state at the 4A level, and they torched a Wildcat defense, which had not allowed a point in over three games, for five touchdowns on the night. The Stags advance to take on Paola in Paola next Friday.

Wildcats fall in sub-state semi-final
In the end, it was just a little too much Panther for the Wildcats to handle, as the Louisburg Volleyball season ended with a semi-final loss at the hands of the eventual champion Paola Panthers on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at Spring Hill. The Wildcats opened with a victory over Santa Fe Trail, and pushed the state bound Panthers to three games before falling one match short of their goal.
Wildcats fall to St. James 2-1
The Louisburg Wildcats Soccer team fell in the Kansas State Soccer Quarterfinals by a 2-1 score to St. James Academy in Louisburg Tuesday night, November 3, 2009. The Wildcats have advanced to the quarterfinal round for the past three years, only to fall in the opening game of the quarters. It was Louisburg's second loss to St. James this year.
